Livelihood Creation

Our livelihood creation strategy delivers tangible results through multiple interconnected pathways:

Community-Led Interventions

Diversified Sector Focus

We have successfully implemented specialized programs across agricultural and non-agricultural sectors. Our Livelihood and Enterprise Development Programme in Karbi Anglong, Lakhimpur, and Dhemaji has established sustainable income sources through food processing, broom making, dairy processing, and apiculture, creating multiple income streams for vulnerable households.

Value Chain Development

Rather than isolated interventions, we develop complete value chains. Our handloom cluster development project in Dibrugarh exemplifies this approach, where traditional skills are enhanced, production is organized, and market linkages are strengthened, resulting in sustainable livelihood opportunities for artisans.
Community-Led Interventions

Collectivization for Economic Strength

We have pioneered the formation of producer collectives across five northeastern states. The establishment of 50 FPOs and 69 FFPOs has enabled small and marginal producers to achieve economies of scale, enhancing their bargaining power and income stability through collective production and marketing.

Skill-Employment Integration

Our skill development initiatives in Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, and Sivasagar provide not just training but guaranteed placement assistance. As stated in our profile, we pride ourselves on being “the premier organizational group providing 100% placement assistance to students coming from poor families.”

Indigenous Resource Optimization

We help communities leverage local resources for economic gain. The promotion of Silk and Eri in Jorhat, Sivasagar, and Dibrugarh has revitalized traditional sericulture practices while creating contemporary livelihood opportunities.

Cross-Sector Collaborations

Our partnerships with organizations like NABARD, NECTAR, and BCPL have enabled us to implement specialized livelihood programs that align with market demands and regional strengths, ensuring sustainability beyond project timelines.

By focusing on measurable outcomes rather than mere activities, APRINS has successfully created resilient livelihoods that withstand economic uncertainties and environmental challenges, empowering communities to progress from subsistence to sustainable prosperity.
